This series Open Helical Coil Wound Resistor, aka Open Wound Resistor, has coiled resistance material and winds around the ceramic substrate.
This design increases the airflow across the coiled resistance material, stabilizes resistive coil temperature and increases the energy dissipation rate.
Power range : 500W, 1kW, 2kW and 4kW
with continuous current up to 28A
Suitable for both continuous load duty and short pulse energy dissipation applications
Withstand short-time overload : 5 x rated Wattage 5 seconds (customizable)
Support low resistance and high current requirement
Support multi-resistances per resistor
Support adjustable resistance requirement with a ring terminal
Support mounting fixtures enclosure, cooling fan and thermal switch requirements
