High Power Rheostat Applications:
Adjustable resistive loads, Current Regulators, Voltage Dividers, Burn-in test loading and other general applications
The main function of a rheostat is to adjust the circuit current between the maximum current at the minimum resistance value, and the minimum current at the rated resistance.

Rheostat resistance value:
Power Rheostat doesn’t have standard resistance values. Customers determine the lower and upper resistance values according to their current ranges, though there might have limitations because of resistance material availability.
Two rheostats with the same power rating doesn’t mean they have the same maximum load current capacity.

Rotary Rheostat : FVR:
Power range : 25W, 50W, 100W, 300W, and 500W

Tandem mounted Rheostat : FVR:
Power range : 1000W, 1500W, 2000W, 2500W, 3000W and 4000W

Rotary Rheostat Load Box : FVRB:
It consists of FVR Rotary Rheostats.
Power range : 300W ~ 5kW (depends on the resistances and load current rating)
Options : Voltmeter, Ammeter, Ohm meter, Thermal protection, Over-Current protection, Control Main Switch, Cooling system.

Sliding Rheostat with Handwheel : DSR-W:
Also known as High Power Variable Resistor
Support power up to 20kW
This series is based on the DDR-F/DSR-F power resistor with a Handwheel to adjust the resistance value.

Sliding Rheostat Load Bank / Sliding type Adjustable Load Bank: DSR-WB:
Single Phase
This series is based on the DSR-W slide rheostat with a protective enclosure.
Standard power range: 5kW – 50kW.
Options : Voltmeter, Ammeter, Ohm meter, Thermal Protection, Over-Current protection, Control Main Switch, Cooling system.

3-Phase Sliding Rheostat Load Bank / 3-Phase Slide type Adjustable Load Bank: DSR3-WB:
This is made with three DSR-W series slide rheostats.
Standard power range: 3kW – 54kW
Features with Voltmeter, Ammeter, Wattmeter, Ohm meter; Thermal, Over Voltage and Current Protection, Cooling System and Control Main Switch

Please state the following for all the above rheostats.
i) maximum Resistance and minimum Current
ii) minimum Resistance and maximum Current
iii) Voltage at the minimum and maximum resistance
